Invisalign Clear Aligners in Bellevue Hill & Eastern Suburbs Sydney

Straighten Your Smile with Discreet Clear Aligners Made to Fit Your Smile

Bellevue Hill Dental is an Invisalign provider serving patients across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. We offer Invisalign treatment for adults and teenagers, with flexible appointment times and a free initial consultation to assess your suitability.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, removable clear aligners to gradually move teeth into their correct position without brackets, wires, or the dietary restrictions of traditional braces.

Is Invisalign right for you?

Invisalign is suitable for a wide range of alignment issues, including:

  • Crowded teeth — where there is insufficient space for teeth to sit correctly
  • Gaps between teeth (diastema)
  • Overbite, underbite, and crossbite correction
  • Open bite
  • Mildly rotated teeth

Complex cases involving significant skeletal discrepancies or severe rotations may require traditional orthodontic treatment. Your dentist will advise after a clinical assessment and digital scan.

Invisalign cost in Sydney — what to expect

The cost of Invisalign varies depending on the complexity of your case, the length of treatment, and which Invisalign option suits you best. In general:

  • Invisalign Lite is the more affordable option, suited to minor crowding or spacing with a shorter treatment timeline
  • Invisalign Comprehensive is for moderate to complex cases needing full arch treatment, and sits at the higher end
  • Invisalign Teen is tailored for teenagers, with built-in compliance indicators and replacement aligners included
  • Retainers are recommended after treatment to maintain your results

Private health insurance extras with an orthodontic benefit can offset some of the cost. The amount depends on your fund, your level of cover, and your annual or lifetime orthodontic cap, so it’s worth checking with your fund before your consultation.

Bellevue Hill Dental offers interest-free payment plans through Afterpay to help spread the cost. We’re happy to provide a tailored quote at your consultation, once we have assessed your case and discussed your treatment goals.

How does Invisalign treatment work?

Step 1 — Free consultation and digital scan

Your dentist assesses your teeth, bite, and jaw alignment. A digital 3D scan (iTero or similar) creates a precise model of your teeth, eliminating the need for traditional impressions. You can see a preview of your projected tooth movement before committing to treatment.

Step 2 — Custom aligner fabrication

Your scan is used to plan your treatment and manufacture a full series of custom aligners. Each aligner is trimmed to your gum line for a precise, discreet fit.

Step 3 — Wearing your aligners

Aligners are worn for 20–22 hours per day. They are removed to eat, drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss. You progress to the next aligner in the series approximately every one to two weeks.

Step 4 — Progress reviews

You will be instructed to attend check-up appointments every 6–10 weeks, or depending on what your dentist recommends, so your dentist can confirm treatment is progressing as planned.

Step 5 — Refinements and retainers

After your final aligner, refinement aligners may be used to perfect the result. A custom retainer is then made to hold your teeth in position. Most of the time, you may be wearing your retainers at night. This supports a lifelong commitment to maintaining your results.

How long does Invisalign take?

Treatment duration depends on the complexity of your case. Some patients who have minor corrections may take around 6–12 months for their Invisalign treatment. Comprehensive treatment for moderate to complex cases usually runs 12–24 months, but that still depends on how complex your case is.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are clear aligners like to live with day-to-day?

They’re transparent, custom-fit trays that are removable and designed to be barely noticeable. You take them out for eating, brushing and flossing, which helps keep your hygiene routine straightforward.

At the start, the team takes impressions and digitally designs a series of custom aligners that gently guide teeth toward planned positions.

The page notes improvements for crowded teeth, gaps, underbites and overbites, supporting a more even smile and easier cleaning.

You’re asked to wear aligners at least 22 hours per day for the best chance of reaching the planned result.

Typically every two weeks until the planned sequence is complete.

The page gives an average treatment time of 12–18 months, noting the process is streamlined. Your exact timeframe is confirmed after assessment.

Aligners are made from transparent plastic and are described as barely noticeable when worn.

Because aligners are removed for meals and for cleaning, you can eat normally, then brush/floss before putting them back in.

The clinic describes it as an option for teenagers and adults seeking a subtler way to straighten teeth.

You’ll be provided clear retainers to maintain your new smile and reduce the chance of teeth shifting back; these can be taken off once teeth have settled and you and the dentist are satisfied with the result.

Teeth are moved gradually via a planned aligner sequence and without brackets or wires, avoiding the bracket-related abrasion mentioned on the page.

The clinic notes aligners don’t interfere with daily activities, and being removable helps you manage routines more easily.
